Layne Livingston Anderson was born in Memphis and lived in New Orleans and Atlanta before her family settled in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She developed a love of travel and history at an early age. Although she has traveled across the globe, her adopted home state of Arkansas is among her favorite destinations.
She holds a B.A. from the University of Arkansas with a double major in History and English Literature and a J.D. from the Bowen School of Law in Little Rock By day, she works as a government lawyer. By night, she can be found researching ghost legends or leading guided tours as “Ghostess” of haunted historic sites. A cemetery enthusiast, she counts among her favorites Greyfriars Kirkyard in Edinburgh, Highgate Cemetery in north London, and Little Rock’s Mount Holly Cemetery, where she is a “property owner.”
